October CEO Note
Hello! Welcome to October's Track Talk!
We're right in the middle of what is a big month of Motorsport generally and Drag Racing certainly has plenty happening right now.
Here at Willowbank Raceway, we have our last Racer Test Day for the year coming up on October 25th, and we look forward to seeing quite a few of you here for that. On November the 8th we have Mopar Sunday - postponed due to a rainout earlier in the year, Mopar Sunday is a fun event and well worth checking out with plenty of fast and cool Mopars heading here to do their stuff, it's a really good event.
We also have plenty of opportunities for you to run your road car or bike down the famous Willowbank strip coming up. At this time of year we're heading into the warmer evenings which really suit Drag Racing – there is just something that feels right about warm nights and fast machines running down the strip, it all fits together well. We hope to see plenty of you here over the coming weeks.
Like for many of you, it is Spring cleaning time for us here at the track. With well over 100 acres to look after, there is always plenty to keep us busy. At this time of year we clear out many areas, trim some trees and have a general tidy-up before Summer. Whilst not all of the things we are doing at this time of year will be immediately apparent, all of the work being done helps us to run the Raceway more efficiently, which means everyone gains from the work being put in.
